Alexander Von Humboldt
The sailboat Alexander von Humboldt is a three-master boat German which was built in 1906, under the name of Sonderburg.
It became lightship under the name of Kiel.
In 1986, it was bought back by Sail Training Association of Germany (1000 STAG) to be restaured in three-master.
It is baptized Alexander von Humboldt in 1988 of the name of the famous naturalist and German globe-trotter, co-founder of the University of Berlin.
It serves as training ship open to the general public today.
