Amerigo Vespucci
Amerigo Vespucci is an Italian training ship. It belongs to the Italian Navy and it is used to train navy student officers. It is currently one of the oldest three-masted sailing ships, the oldest Italian Navy training ship in service and one of the world's largest military training ships.
The sailing ship is named after the famous Italian sailor: Amerigo Vespucci. It is based in Genoa.
Over the past decade, apart from training at sea, this sailing ship has often played the role of ambassador of art, culture and Italian engineering.
