Bir Anzarane
Bir Anzarane (1000 341 ) is a deep-sea patroller of Moroccan royal Marine of type OPV70, conceived by Raidco Marine and built in the civil standards in the construction site Leroux Naval (1000STX Lorient) by Lorient (1000STX France) and delivered in 2011. It bears the name of the battle of Bir Anzarane, setting the rebels of the Forehead(1000Front) Polisario to the royal armed forces in 1979.
It is capable of reacting quickly, thanks to its propulsion which allows it to reach the speed of 22 knots, and its platform which can welcome a helicopter. This patrol boat can embark 60 men of crew. It is used on the supervision and the police of the fishing, the fight against the illicit traffics and the illegal immigration, as well as in the armed dissuasion.
