Iskra II
Iskra II ("Spark" in Polish), is a three-master schooner Polish. It is of use as training ship to the young sailors of the naval Academy(Regional education authority) of the Polish navy.
Built by Construction sites Lenine in Gdansk, as Pogoria, and Fryderyk Chopin, it came to replace Iskra I (1928-1976), disarmed after 50 years of navigation.
Its peculiarity is to have different riggings on each of its masts: the foremast wears a square sail, the mainmast an auric sail and the mizzenmast a Bermudian sail. This mast also serves as fireplace. Its ill-assorted rigging is certainly an advantage for its role of school, even if it harms in the elegance of its silhouette.
Participations in the Armada: 1994,1999, 2003, 2008
