Pen Duick III
With this new schooner built in 1967, Eric Tabarly won all the races of the season including he Fastnet Race and Sydney-Hobart. Pen Duick III was made entirely of aluminum, unusual at that time.
Pen Duick means small black head in Breton (1000penn is translated as head, du is black), concretely, it is the Breton name of the black-capped chickadee, also called coal tit.
